This painting- “REFLECTION” is one of my works that I created to illustrate encouraging words from the Holy Bible. Standing in front of a mirror before we put anything on, we are bare naked naturally. Going out, we dressed up and suits up to reflect to the world as a beautiful and handsome person. We reflect the rosy side of ourselves, and our thorny side concealed.
Metaphorically we often stand in front of other mirrors that reflect to us different kinds of images. The world mirrors may reflect back to us images that depend on what we possess or what we do not possess. Sometimes we reflect to the world the images of good physical appearance, achievements, positions, and possessions. Losing those images may result in mental health issues and low self-esteem. O Yemi Tubi has exhibited his works worldwide and received numerous awards and recognitions. O. Yemi’s works were awarded 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th places in political commentaries in American Art Awards from 2014 to 2022. He also received First Round Award with cash in Art Olympia 2015 International Open exhibition in Tokyo Japan. O. Yemi won the First-Place award with his painting "The Chickens' Fight" in the WAR or PEACE 2022 International Competition by the Art Impact International.
