According to the Holy Bible, the first couple were living innocently and in perpetual bliss before they ate the forbidden fruit (apple). Prior to this incident, everything was good and the couple had good fellowship with their creator. This act of disobedience the severed relationship between the first couple and God, their maker. Things went downhill for the first couple and their descendants, the human race, from that time. Sin came into the human race, it causes them to hide from hearing the voice of God. This painting illustrates the fall and the redemption of the human race.
